Quebec City’s Hôtel de Glace (Ice Hotel)
On March 30, 2022 by jmwebThe last part is the hotel itself. It had about 24 rooms. Two were suites with unique add-ons. One with a sauna and the other with a hot tub.
When you rent a room at the ice hotel, you are also renting a room inside the actual hotel which is on the same grounds. This allows you to go inside and change or shower while still sleeping outside if you wish. The first thing I noticed was, there are no actual doors. Just curtains.
Most rooms have their own themes however a few “chambers” did not.
While I was there, I had the opportunity to photograph a lovely family as we walked throughout it.
Lastly an image of the area where they do some of the maintenance work. This area is used for making the ice glasses as seen in the previous photos.
This was an absolute delight to photograph. Next year I will definitely be going back and staying there.
