Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, visits PEI
On August 3, 2022 by jmwebOn July 22nd, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was set to make a stopover on Prince Edward Island. I was assigned to cover it by Reuters.
He was already in the region visiting with different groups including stops in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. His first stop was to Tea Hill Park in Stratford, where he was meeting with families. It was a pretty casual and quick stop. Of course, the RCMP dog came by to smell us. For the most part, the media was local with everything being pooled.
From here the Prime Minister went down to the beach where media was not allowed to follow him too. I ended up capturing some imagery of him on the beach from a different position
Shortly, he was back up in the main area of the park where he completed a press conference with the media.
