Montreal Canadiens vs Ottawa Senators in Boctouche, NB
On October 19, 2022 by jmwebAfter a quick stop over in Charlottetown to pick up some additional gear, mostly my Sony A9 ii, I was back on the road heading to Bouctouche to cover the second NHL game taking place in Atlantic Canada in as many days.
Bouchtouche, New Brunswick is thankfully a short two hourish drive from Charlottetown. I again arrived plenty early, 3-4 hours early in fact. This gave me lots of time to review the rosters and ensure I had all the updated information. Thankfully, I did. Sure enough, it had changed from two nights prior. As such, I updated my lists.
The two teams took to the ice after we were well fed with some hot delicious supper.

After snapping a few pictures of the warmup, and submitting them, it was time for the players to hit the ice for period 1.

After finishing up the first period, I went upstairs to my seat. Another sold out crowd of 1000 people in a small arena makes it real easy to get around. To my surprise, there were a few Montreal Canadien’s players sitting around my laptop. After a quick joke or two, I was onto filling the imagery. Back downstairs for the second period images.

After the Ottawa Senators had a successful second period, it was time for the teams to take a break and head back to the dressing rooms. After another short 15-18 minutes, it was time to regroup and start the third period.

And just like every game, it was over before it started. Hockey always seems to fly. The World Juniors had me covering 2-3 games a day and it still flew by and this was obviously quicker. It was time to head back to Prince Edward Island for a few days rest.
