Jamie & Bob Brannen for Globe And Mail
On May 4, 2023 by jmwebIn February, I was tasked with creating imagery for the Globe & Mail on a story on Jamie & Bob Brennan. Both were avid curlers and were well known across Canada as Jamie had competed in the Brier.
The Globe was sending sports reporter Marty Klinkenburg was down to Fredericton, New Brunswick. I had previously met Marty at the World Junior’s in Edmonton, Alberta and also worked on a story with him on Vessey Seeds during the start of the pandemic.
After driving over to Fredericton, New Brunswick, I sat with Marty for two days as he interviewed many from the Fredericton community about Jamie & Bob at the Capital Winter Club. It concluded with a visit to Jamie & Bob’s widows.
This was an incredible experience listening to all the stories of Jamie & Bob Brannen.
