2021 Nova Scotia Lobster Dispute

After the press conference had wrapped up, I ran down to the rocks to see what was happening on the water. The boat I was supposed to go on with the guardians/security had already left the wharf as the press conference had started. I missed my opportunity to be on the water but wasn’t advised they were going to depart early.
On The Water
On the water, the small Department of Fisheries boats had started to take off towards the indigenous boats however the boats were well out onto the water. The heat waves were visible at 600mm zoom. Just after the indigenous fishing boats left their traps, they were being picked back up again by DFO.
As I went back to my vehicle to file some images, I noticed a lot of media interviewing fishermen on one of the boats. Not looking for another staged opp, I went to my car to continue filing photos. As. I jumped into my car, I heard, “they got him!”.
Who did they get? DETAINED.
