Quebec Rempart vs Halifax Mooseheads

The second game of this trip was back at Scotiabank Centre where I got to reconnect with some of the staff of the arena. One of the staff members happen to mention to me, I wasn’t expecting to see you back here so soon!

Nonetheless, it was the 1st place QMJHL team vs the 2nd place QMJHL team in what we could see in the playoff finals.

For arena staff, they mentioned they were surprised at the attendance thinking people may have been hockey’d out after the success of the World Juniors as lots of fans attended all the game.

At the end of the third, the game was all tied up.

After 3 periods or 60 minutes of play, things were all tied up. As the two teams went through overtime, it became apparent they might need more time. And it all came down to a shootout.

The Halifax Mooseheads would end up scoring on their next shot tying things up.

In the end, the Halifax Mooseheads would win during the shootout as Cameron Whynot (Halifax Mooseheads, #17) scored the game-winning goal.
